Informational

Event

Authorities in Samoa plan to carry out a nationwide vaccination campaign 08:00-18:00 Nov. 19 to boost the fully vaccinated population. The government has not designated the date as a public holiday, and businesses will remain open. However, the government has requested un- or partially residents to stay at home to receive doses. The government is requiring companies to provide a list of un- or partially vaccinated staff by Nov. 19.

Officials will permit private transport to continue for fully vaccinated residents. Security personnel will deploy and erect checkpoints on main routes to check vaccination status. The campaign is unlikely to impact business operations severely, but increased employee absenteeism is possible.
