Zambia: Student protest in Lusaka, Nov. 9

University of Zambia (UNZA) students are protesting in Lusaka, Nov. 9. The demonstration is in response to an ongoing go-slow protest by lecturers at UNZA and other issues. Protesters are reportedly attempting to march towards State House.

Police will almost certainly monitor the gathering through the day. Ground travel disruptions are likely on routes towards and near State House. Students may also attempt to gather in and near the UNZA campus, Nov. 9, and possibly in the coming days. Clashes between protesters and the police are possible if demonstrators ignore police orders to disperse.
