An explosion killed at least 10 oil and gas sector workers and left one other wounded as their bus traveled from Al-Kharata oil field in Deir Ez-Zur Governorate, Dec. 2. The official casualty count may rise in the coming hours. There have been no immediate claims of responsibility for the attack, though Islamic State (IS) has previously been responsible for explosive devices targeting busses in Syria before.
