The Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT) has called for a general strike in Tataouine Governorate Dec. 30. The strike is in response to several grievances, including alleged intimidation and harassment of UGTT workers by authorities. The UGTT has also called for demonstrations from 10:00-12:00 Dec. 30-Jan. 1 outside the regional directorate of social affairs headquarters in the governorate.
