A large police presence is being reported near the 1100 block of Bellevue Street in Detroit, Michigan, as of 01:00 Dec. 4. Authorities confirmed that a vehicle belonging to the parents of a student who killed four people in Oxford, Michigan, earlier in the week was found in the area. Police are reportedly searching for the parents, who are facing charges related to the Nov. 30 shooting.

Heightened security, as well as localized business and transport disruptions, are likely in the coming hours as search operations continue.

Oakland County prosecutors announced Dec. 3 that the parents of the student who killed four people and injured seven others at Oxford High School Nov. 30 are facing charges of involuntary manslaughter. Authorities believe the individuals fled Oxford after the charges were announced.
