Further rallies by pro-Palestinian activists are likely in several cities across the US and Canada into at least early May in response to the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict. Demonstration organizers have announced the following gatherings:
US
Irvine, Calif.: Mike Ward Community Park - Woodbridge, 11:00 April 27
Seattle, Washington: Henry M. Jackson Federal Building, 14:00 April 27
Washington, DC: Kalorama Park, 17:00 April 27

Ottawa, Ontario: Canadian Tribute to Human Rights, 14:00 April 27
Montreal, Quebec: Norman Bethune Square, 14:00 April 27
Most demonstrations that materialize will probably draw several hundred attendees, and participation in the thousands or tens of thousands is possible on weekends in some major cities.
Additionally, related demonstrations have been occurring on university campuses throughout the US, including those of Columbia, Yale, Harvard, MIT, University of Texas-Austin, University of Southern California, Emory, George Washington University, and the University of Michigan. In most cases, students have built encampments on school grounds. Clashes have occurred at some universities as police move to end the demonstrations.
Other gatherings could occur near Israeli diplomatic offices, identifiably Jewish or Palestinian business establishments, public squares, and major government buildings. Protests have also targeted ports and industries. Counterprotests could occur in some locations.
Authorities will likely deploy an increased security presence near any related gatherings. Clashes between groups of rival activists have occurred, but most demonstrations are likely to be peaceful. There have also been occasional reports of other forms of confrontational behavior, including harassment, vandalism, and the removal of flags or posters placed by opposing groups. Additionally, some schools and religious centers may close or limit their hours of operation. Localized security-related transport and business disruptions are likely.
Exercise caution near any rallies that materialize. Heed instructions from authorities. Plan accordingly for localized road travel delays. Immediately depart the area at the first sign of any security disturbance.
