The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a tornado warning for Sioux City, Iowa, and surrounding areas in northwestern Woodbury County in west-central Iowa, Dakota County in northeastern Nebraska, and southeastern Union County in southeastern South Dakota effective until at least 16:45 CST Dec. 15. The warning could be extended or expanded at short notice.

Transport and business disruptions and power outages are possible in affected areas over the coming hours.
