Warning

Event

Authorities in Greenland are enforcing measures introduced to combat the spread of COVID-19 as of Jan. 6.

Domestic Measures
Evidence of vaccination or recovery from COVID-19, or a negative test taken in the previous 48 hours, is required to access most nonessential businesses. The same is also required for travel between regions or cities in Greenland; individuals unable to meet these requirements must isolate for 14 days on arrival or following a negative COVID-19 test during this period. Facemasks are mandatory in all public spaces in areas where cases of COVID-19 have been detected. Additional local restrictions will vary by region; for details, click here.

International Entry Restrictions
Entry is permitted for vaccinated or recovered individuals; other travelers are only permitted to enter if they are residents. As of Jan. 6, all permitted arrivals must present a negative PCR test taken no more than 48 hours before departure. Unvaccinated residents must quarantine for 14 days on arrival; quarantine can be ended on day five following a negative COVID-19 test.

Any restrictions may be extended or amended with little-to-no notice depending on disease activity over the coming weeks.
