Authorities are relaxing COVID-19-related domestic and international entry restrictions as of March 29. Vaccinated travelers are now exempt from demonstrating a pre-departure test but must show proof of a complete vaccination scheme. Domestically, the use of facemasks in open spaces is no longer mandatory for groups of five or less. Facemasks are still required for indoor gatherings, inside shops, and on public transportation. Religious services can resume without capacity limitations. Sporting activities can resume without capacity limits. The country remains at Adjusted Risk Level 1.

Domestic Measures

  • Business hours likely remain restricted. Restaurants cannot serve alcohol after 19:00.

  • Religious and memorial services can resume without capacity limits, though health protocols must be respected.

  • Outdoor events can resume with no capacity limits; participants at indoor events must wear facemasks.

  • Sport activities are allowed and spectators are permitted.

  • Facemasks remain mandatory on public transport and in shops.

  • Temperature checks may be carried out at roadblocks between cities.

International Travel

  • Vaccinated travelers must demonstrate proof of a completed vaccine scheme. It remains unclear if a booster for a two-schedule vaccine is required. Unvaccinated travelers entering must provide a negative result from a COVID-19 test taken no more than 72 hours prior to the time of departure. All travelers will be screened upon arrival. Unvaccinated travelers arriving without a negative COVID-19 test result or showing symptoms of the virus will likely be required to take a test at their own cost.

  • Travelers should present a negative COVID-19 test result taken no more than 72 hours prior to departure when exiting the country. Individuals showing symptoms of COVID-19 will not be permitted to leave the country and will need to quarantine for up to 14 days.

  • Measures are also in place for essential travelers such as daily commuters.

Authorities could reintroduce, ease, or otherwise amend restrictions at any time based upon disease activity. Additional restrictions are possible in response to security-related developments.
