Warning

Event

Officials are tightening restrictions in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province, as of April 19 due to COVID-19 activity. Authorities have designated parts of Jinhua as closed areas with stricter curbs. The affected areas include Honglu, Lianfeng, Loujia, Wangludang, and Zezhu villages in Bailongqiao Town, where stay-home measures are in place. Most areas in Jinhua are classified as control areas, including Bailongqiao, Changshan, and Ganxi townships. Individuals are permitted to enter control areas but cannot leave, while social gatherings are banned. Each household may arrange for one person to obtain daily necessities at a designated location in control areas every two days. Officials have suspended train services at Jinhua and Jinhua South stations. Enhanced measures, such as restricting access to certain areas, may be enforced in other areas of the city in the coming days.

Additional measures are likely if there are new COVID-19 cases. Strict controls, such as stay-at-home orders and closure of nonessential businesses, may be expanded to more locations. The government may impose gathering, business, and travel restrictions in other parts of Zhejiang Province as a precaution if new cases emerge. Travelers must present a negative nucleic acid test result taken within 48 hours to enter Ningbo Lishe International Airport (NGB). Other provincial and municipal governments may require individuals who have recently traveled to areas with higher disease activity to undergo COVID-19 testing and/or mandatory institutional quarantine periods.

Advice

Strictly heed the instructions of authorities. Remain cooperative if approached and questioned by law enforcement officers. Confirm appointments and travel reservations due to possible restrictions.
