Utility provider Power PNG has announced load shedding in Kimbe, West New Britain Province, May 2-27 due to planned maintenance work. Load shedding will occur 08:00-12:00 in several locations, including Morokea, Gigo, Section 15, Section 11, and Navio. Power disruptions will affect other parts of the city, including Kisere, Ruago, Aling, Dagi, and Section 10, 12:00-17:00. Electricity supply could remain limited outside of load shedding hours.

Temporary commercial, communications, and transport disruptions are possible during the outages. Businesses without backup generators may suspend operations.
