Sao Tome and Principe eases COVID-19-related international travel restrictions as of April 4. Domestic restrictions remain in place.
Event
The government of Sao Tome and Principe have eased COVID-19-related international travel restrictions as of April 4. All air passengers arriving or departing in Sao Tome and Principe are not required to have proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test. Fully vaccinated travelers can enter Sao Tome and Principe without needing to quarantine.
Domestic Measures
Facemasks are mandatory in enclosed public areas and inside vehicles.
Public gatherings are limited to 50-percent capacity.
Individuals must show a proof of vaccination of a negative COVID-19 test to attend popular celebrations, music festivals, go to nighclubs.
International Travel Restrictions
Unvaccinated travelers must present a negative PCR test result obtained no more than 72 hours before departure. Unvaccinated arrivals not in possession of a negative PCR test result may have to undergo quarantine.
To exit Sao Tome and Principe, the entry rules of the destination country apply.
Authorities could reimpose, extend, further ease, or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice depending on disease activity over the coming weeks.
