Authorities in Tasmania are maintaining COVID-19 restrictions statewide as of June 2.

Local Measures
Officials have ended gathering limits at households and most business capacity restrictions. Venues must seek permission for events with more than 5,000 attendees and music festivals with more than 2,000 patrons. Facemasks remain required in high-risk settings, like medical and aged care facilities and public transport. High-risk medical facilities must collect patrons' contact information using the Check in TAS mobile application or manually.

Authorities require COVID-19 cases to self-quarantine for seven days. Affected people must take a COVID-19 test on day 1. Officials also mandate that people obtain a negative test result on day 6 and have no symptoms to exit quarantine. Individuals that recovered from COVID-19 in the previous 12 weeks are exempt from the rules. Designated close contacts of COVID-19 cases must wear facemasks at public indoor locations, undergo daily rapid antigen tests (RATs), report their status as a close contact to employers, and avoid medical establishments during the weeklong period. The requirements could lead to worker shortages in some sectors.
