Attack on a passenger bus in the Nyamagabe District, Rwanda, June 18. Two people were killed.

Assailants attacked a passenger bus in the Kitabi area of Nyamagabe District, June 18. The attack left two people dead and six injured. Officials have blamed the Burundi-based National Liberation Front (FLN) for the incident.

Officials may increase security in the impact area in the coming days and conduct search operations against the assailants. Additional patrols and checkpoints are possible. Confrontations between militants and the security forces could occur. On May 22, Rwandan forces reportedly ambushed FLN militants that had crossed into the country from Burundi in the Rusizi District; two militants were killed.
