Activists, affiliated with the organization Shut Down DC, have launched a protest around the US Supreme Court, in Washington, DC, early June 13, ahead of the possible release of a court decision concerning abortion rights. Demonstrators plan to block streets surrounding the court building, including 1st and 2nd Street Northeast, and East Capitol Street.

Heightened security around the Supreme Court is highly likely throughout the day, as are transport and business disruptions in the area. Counter-protests are also likely. Clashes between opposing groups, and between police and demonstrators, are possible.
