Critical

Event

Authorities have ended domestic COVID-19 restrictions as of June 18. All areas of the country are under Recovery Level 1, the lowest level of the government’s reopening plan. Officials have lifted curfews and stay-at-home orders in affected provinces. Interprovincial transport can operate without restrictions. Gathering restrictions have also ended, and nonessential businesses can resume operations.

The government will also ease entry restrictions beginning July 1, permitting all international passengers to enter the country without quarantine, regardless of vaccination status.

International Travel Restrictions
Inbound commercial international flights remain banned until July 1. However, repatriation and international cargo flights continue. Citizens from designated high-risk countries cannot enter until further notice. Fully vaccinated travelers from low- and medium-risk locations can enter the country with a COVID-19 test conducted within 72 hours or a supervised rapid antigen test (RAT) taken within 24 hours before departure. Passengers must complete a Vanuatu Electronic Traveller System (VETS) declaration to board flights. Officials have ended quarantine for permitted travelers.

Advice

Follow all official instructions. Abide by national health and safety measures. Ensure contingency plans account for further disruptive measures. Reconsider and reconfirm nonemergency health appointments. Plan for queues and delays at available shopping centers.
