Transavia cabin crew in France to strike July 13-17; flight cancelations and delays likely

Warning

Event

The SNPNC union representing Transavia (TO) cabin crew in France has launched a strike as of July 13 which will continue through July 17. The purpose of the action is to demand increased wages.

The strike is resulting in disruptions to Transavia flights, with airline officials confirming 27 flights were canceled on the first day of the strike, July 13. Further flight disruptions, including delays and cancelations, are likely through July 17. Lingering disruptions are possible following the conclusion of the strike as the airline works to reorganize schedules and reposition aircraft.

Advice

Confirm flights if booked to fly with Transavia during the strike period. Do not check out of accommodations until onward travel is confirmed. Arrive early at airports to prevent your seat from being allocated to a standby passenger. Consider alternate arrangements for critical travel.
