Warning

Event

Officials continue to implement limited COVID-19 restrictions as of July 29.

Domestic Measures
The government requires at least two meters (6.5 feet) of physical distance and facemasks in public places. However, official statements indicate that enforcement is uneven to lax in many areas. Vaccination is also mandatory for using most public transport. Retail can operate, but owners, employees, and patrons must be fully vaccinated.

Authorities require COVID-19 cases and their designated close contacts to self-quarantine; positive cases must remain in isolation until receiving a negative test result. Close contacts must self-quarantine for seven days and contact health officials if they begin to experience symptoms.

International Travel Restrictions
The government permits entry for citizens and foreign nationals; arrivals 18 years old or above must be fully vaccinated, with a booster vaccine dose, if eligible. Inbound travelers must obtain a negative PCR test result within 72 hours before departure and email vaccination proof and test results to the Ministry of Health ([email protected]). Officials do not require quarantine, but entrants must take a PCR test three days after entry; people traveling in outlying islands during the first three days can take a supervised rapid antigen test (RAT).

Advice

Follow all official instructions. Abide by national health and safety measures. Reconfirm business appointments, deliveries, work, and travel arrangements. Consider delaying traveling if experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19, as they may prompt increased scrutiny and delays. Ensure contingency plans account for further disruptive measures or extensions of current restrictions.
