Emergency crews are responding to a fire at Hotel Alento in Jamnagar, Gujarat State, late Aug. 11; the cause of the blaze as yet remains undetermined. Preliminary reports indicate at least 35 people may have been injured in the incident, with 25 possibly still trapped inside the building.

Authorities will probably maintain increased security in the area; roadblocks are likely to facilitate the ongoing response. Localized transport disruptions will probably continue for some hours after the fire has been extinguished, especially near Dwarka highway in Moti Khavdi.
