Lingering transport and business disruptions are likely in Conception Bay South, Newfoundland and Labrador, over the coming hours after police arrested the suspect connected with multiple shooting incidents in the area Sept. 22. Officials assert that there is no further threat to the public.

Police previously advised the community to shelter in place earlier in the day as they searched for the suspect, who had reportedly carried out three shootings in the Newfoundland town that left at least two people seriously wounded. One of the shootings took place in the Uplands Road area of the Chamberlains neighborhood, while another took place on Greeleytown Road in the Foxtrap area; authorities did not immediately indicate the approximate location of the third shooting incident.
