China: Authorities to close Zhangjiakou Ningyuan Airport (ZQZ), Hebei Province, Sept. 5-11 for runway maintenance

Zhangjiakou Ningyuan Airport (ZQZ) in Hebei Province will close Sept. 5-11 for runway maintenance works. All flight operations at the airport are suspended during the closure, and all flights to and from the airport are canceled. Authorities stated that normal flight operations at the airport will resume from Sept. 12.

The airport closure could extend beyond Sept. 11 if maintenance works are not completed as scheduled. Lingering disruptions beyond the airport's reopening are unlikely, as airlines will likely adjust schedules accordingly in advance.

ZQZ is approximately 250 km (155 miles) west of Chengde.
