Warning

Event

Officials continue to enact tight restrictions in parts of Guizhou Province as of Sept. 21. The government continues to designate large portions of Guiyang and Bijie City and parts of Zunyi City as high- or medium-risk. Residents in the affected areas may only leave home for COVID-19 tests; anyone that tests positive for COVID-19 may face quarantine at government facilities. Nonessential businesses remain closed, while taxi and rail services suspensions are likely in affected areas. Officials will likely conduct several rounds of testing in the affected locations before easing restrictions. Authorities permit movement and business operations in low-risk and unclassified locations.

Authorities could extend the measures in the affected cities or impose lockdown measures in other parts of Guizhou Province if new COVID-19 cases emerge. Strict controls, such as stay-at-home orders and closure of nonessential businesses, are possible. Business operation and supply chain disruptions are likely in the affected areas.

Advice
