Officials in Guangdong Province are imposing tiered anti-virus measures in Shenzhen as of Sept. 5 due to COVID-19 concerns. Authorities will classify areas as low-, medium-, or high-risk based on the level of disease activity. The government will lift movement curbs in low-risk areas, while lockdown measures will remain in place in medium- and high-risk localities. Residents and individuals in medium- and high-risk areas must remain in their homes; exceptions may be possible for emergencies and essential reasons. Officials restrict travel to and from the affected communities.
