India: Factory fire in Narela Industrial Estate, New Delhi, Sept. 22

Emergency crews have deployed at least six fire trucks to control a factory fire in the Narela industrial estate, Delhi, the afternoon of Sept. 22. The cause of the fire is unclear. There are no immediate reports of casualties, or of the blaze spreading to other compounds.

Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are likely near the affected area. Authorities may restrict access to nearby roads to facilitate the movement of emergency vehicles. Officials may also mandate building evacuations and business closures in the vicinity as a precaution until clearance operations and investigations end.
