Activists plan to protest outside the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities and the Ministry of Information in Beirut from 16:30 Sept. 2 to demand improved security for journalists. The protest comes after a journalist received death threats from Hizballah supporters while reporting in the south of the country. Dozens to hundreds of individuals could attend the demonstration.

Increased security and localized transport disruptions are likely near Ministry of Interior and Municipalities and the Ministry of Information through the evening of Sept. 2. Clashes between police and protesters cannot be ruled out, particularly if demonstrators are overly disruptive or if they ignore police orders to disperse.
