Authorities in Vanuatu will lift a mandate for travelers two years old and above to receive a negative PCR test result taken within 72 hours or a supervised rapid antigen test (RAT) within 24 hours before departure from Sept. 12. The government will no longer require passengers on inbound flights to wear facemasks from the same date. However, officials continue to recommend facemask use for vulnerable travelers.

Domestic Measures
Authorities require people that test positive for or develop symptoms of COVID-19 to self-quarantine for seven days. Travelers staying with family or residents can quarantine in households. Other visitors must stay at hotels with approved isolation procedures for the quarantine period. Authorities do not require a test to exit quarantine, but individuals should be free of fever for 72 hours before entering the community.
