Officials in Ecuador lift most COVID-19-related travel restrictions as of Oct. 24.

Informational

Event

The government of Ecuador has lifted most COVID-19-related entry restrictions and is maintaining minimal domestic measures as of Oct. 24. Authorities no longer require travelers to present any proof of vaccination or pre-travel tests to enter. Arrivals may still be asked to undergo COVID-19 testing at the airport if they present symptoms; however, self-isolation requirements are no longer in place and those testing positive are only instructed to wear facemasks. The requirement to present a completed Traveler Health Declaration form upon arrival remains in place. Those visiting the Galapagos islands must also still present a completed Transit Control Card.

Domestic Measures
Most businesses are able to operate without restrictions. Wearing a facemask is only required when in crowded indoor spaces and on public transport. Facemasks are also required for individuals presenting COVID-19 symptoms or when in medical facilities and hospitals.

International Travel Restrictions
All arriving passengers must present a completed Traveler Health Declaration form upon arrival; to view the form, click here. Additionally, those visiting the Galapagos islands must present a completed Transit Control Card, available here. Passengers presenting COVID-19 symptoms may be subject to testing upon arrival.

All restrictions are subject to amendment at short notice depending on local disease activity.
