Both anti-abortion and abortion rights activists will demonstrate in Saarbrucken, Germany, Oct. 15. Avoid all protests.

Abortion rights activists are planning a counterprotest to an anti-abortion march in Saarbrucken, Oct. 15. The Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX) religious order will lead a "Right to Life" march, starting at 14:30 at the corner of Staden and Ecke Heine Strasse. The route for the march is not known. Activists representing the "My Body, My Choice" alliance plan a counterprotest, meeting at 15:30 in the Europagallerie. It is not known how many will attend each of the two events.

Police will likely deploy to facilitate and monitor the march and the protest. Localized road closures are possible along the length of the march. The demonstrations are likely to pass off peacefully; however, scuffles cannot be ruled out.
