Officials in Papua New Guinea have reopened Wutung border crossing, connecting Indonesia's Papua Province and Papua New Guinea's East Sepik Province, as of Oct. 25. Travelers will be able to pass through the checkpoint at all times. Authorities in Papua New Guinea previously closed the border in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and have occasionally allowed returning Indonesian migrant workers to cross the checkpoint.
