Gan International Airport (GIA), serving Addu City, will close 09:00-15:00 Nov. 2 for an emergency exercise. Officials will also close the Gan-Feydhoo causeway during the drill, except for participants and vehicles involved in the exercise.

The emergency drills could be extended past the estimated end time. Lingering disruptions are possible after GIA's reopening as airlines adjust schedules and clear backlogs.

Gan International Airport (GIA) is approximately 540 km (335 miles) south of Male.
