Armed criminals shot and killed a German tourist during an attempted robbery in Kruger National Park near White River, Mpumalanga Province, Oct. 3. Initial reports indicate three attackers stopped a vehicle carrying four German tourists on Numbi Road traveling to the Numbi Gate. The assailants opened fire on the driver when they refused to unlock the vehicle doors and attempted to reverse down the road. The attackers fled the area following the shooting.
