Authorities are responding to a chemical leak in San Jacinto, Calif., US, as of Oct. 29. The incident occurred around 02:15 and was caused by leaking pool chemicals from a shipping container. Authorities have issued an evacuation order for South of 7th Street, East of Hewitt Street, North of East Evans, and West of Timothy. Additionally, South of Main Street, West of San Jacinto Avenue, North of Esplanade, and East of Romana Expressway remain under an evacuation warning.

Authorities have stated that a care and reception center is being established at San Jacinto High School, located at 500 Idyllwild Drive. Heightened security and localized business and transport disruptions are likely near the incident site in the coming hours. Lingering disruptions may persist through at least the evening of Oct. 29.
