The interruption affected N, Q, R, W, 4, 5, and 6 trains; lingering delays are likely to continue on these and other lines over the coming hours. Police temporarily suspended subway operations on these lines after an unidentified individual reportedly sprayed pepper spray inside the 14th Street-Union Square station, prompting an investigation. One person was injured in the incident.
