Authorities have reportedly closed the Chaman-Spin Boldak border crossing, located on the Afghanistan-Pakistan border, Nov. 13 due to skirmishes between Pakistani and Afghan border forces. It is unclear what caused the skirmish; an Afghan official has stated that no injuries occurred as a result of the cross-border firing.
Authorities on both sides of the border will almost certainly maintain heightened security measures, including deploying additional personnel, in the coming days.
