Ecuador: Explosion in Babahoyo bus terminal prompts evacuation Nov. 20

An explosion occurred in the main bus terminal in Babahoyo, Los Rios Province, Nov. 20, prompting the terminal to be evacuated. The cause of the explosion was not immediately known. Initial reports indicate that at least one person was injured in the blast.

The explosion and subsequent evacuation and police operation in and near the terminal are almost certain to cause transport disruptions in the area.
