Officials have announced that several roads in Kuala Lumpur will be closed at varying times 23:00 Nov. 12 - 11:00 Nov. 13 to facilitate the Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon (KLSCM). Impacted roads include Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH) and Duta-Ulu Klang Expressway (DUKE); as well as Ampang, Bukit Bintang, Damansara, Dang Wangi, Kampung Pandan, Kinabalu, Kuching, Langgak Tunku, Lingjkaran Tengah 2, Parliament, Rajah Abdullah, Raja Chulan, Raja Muda Abdul Aziz, Rajah Laut, Sultan Ismail, Tuanku Abdul Halim, Tuanku Abdul Rahman (TAR), and Tun Ismail roads. Authorities have advised individuals participating in the event to use public transport.

Heightened security measures will likely be implemented in the affected area Nov. 12-13. Traffic congestion is likely on alternative road routes in the area during scheduled closures.
