Passenger train service providers will suspend operations at 16 stations along the Kelana Jaya LRT line in Kuala Lumpur Nov. 9-15. The affected stations include Abdullah Hukum, Ampang Park, Asia Jaya, Bangsar, Dang Wangi, Kampung Baru, Kelana Jaya, Kerinchi, KLCC, KL Sentral, Masjid Jamek, Pasar Seni, Taman Bahagia, Taman Jaya, Taman Paramount, and Universiti. Other stations on the line will remain operational until 23:00 daily. Rapid KL officials previously halted some train services on the Kelana Jaya Line Nov. 6 and 8 due to technical issues. Authorities will provide free feeder bus services along the impacted stations to accommodate commuters.
Increased demand for alternative transport is likely. Traffic congestion is possible as some travelers opt to use personal vehicles, taxis, and ride-hailing services.
