The purpose of the action is to denounce the increased cost of living and demand an early general election, among other demands. Participants will gather at Embankment from 12:00 before beginning a march at 13:00 to Trafalgar Square for a final rally until approximately 15:30. Several labor unions and organizations are supporting the action; attendance could reach the thousands.

Additional police will deploy to monitor and facilitate the action. The demonstration and associated security measures will likely prompt localized transport disruptions along the march route. Public transport services in the surrounding area could be canceled or diverted; nearby rail and underground stations could experience increased congestion as participants arrive at and leave the action. The demonstration is likely to pass off peacefully though isolated clashes with security services cannot be ruled out.
