The Union of Angolan Journalists (SJA) has called for a protest Dec. 17 against restrictions on press freedom. The precise location and start time have not been provided; however, it is likely that protesters will gather in Luanda. Possible protest areas include the Santa Ana Cemetery Square, Largo das Escolas and Largo da Heroinas along Ho Chi Minh Avenue. Authorities canceled a similar planned march in Luanda, Dec. 10.
