Nigeria eases COVID-19-related domestic and travel measures as of Dec. 14.

Informational

Event

Authorities have eased COVID-19-related domestic and travel measures as of Dec. 14. Domestically, officials have removed all gathering restrictions, while the mandatory wearing of facemasks is lifted. Unvaccinated travelers are no longer required to undergo pre-departure and arrival tests. Consequently, vaccinated travelers no longer need to upload vaccination certificates to the Nigeria International Travel Portal (NITP). Passengers are still required to register online on the NITP and fulfill a health declaration form. The form is not related to COVID-19 specifically and is accessible here.

Authorities could reimpose, extend, further ease, or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice depending on disease activity over the coming months.

Advice

Follow all official instructions. Abide by national health and safety measures.
