Flooding is impacting several parts of northern Western Australia, Jan. 2. The area between Fitzroy Crossing and Halls Creek is reportedly worst-affected. Residents in several towns have been forced to evacuate. An evacuation center has been established at Fitzroy Crossing Recreation Centre. Several roads in the region have been affected, including Gibb River Road and Great Northern Highway. For a full list of impacted routes, please click here. Further flooding is likely over the coming days and officials could close additional road routes. Further evacuations may also occur.
