Activists plan to protest in several cities across Australia Feb. 1-4 in support of Palestine. Organizers have announced the following actions:
Sydney: Sydney Town Hall from 18:00 Feb. 1
Melbourne: State Library of Victoria 18:00 Feb. 3
Perth: Murray Street Mall 11:00 Feb. 4
Dozens to several hundred people could participate in each demonstration. Heightened security, as well as localized business and transport disruptions, are possible. While the actions will probably pass peacefully, minor skirmishes between police and activists remain possible.
Advice
Avoid protests as a precaution. Seek alternative routes to circumvent known gathering locations and allow additional time to reach destinations near impacted areas.
