Authorities have lifted remaining COVID-19 entry restrictions in Germany as of Feb. 22; limited domestic restrictions are in effect.

Informational

Event

Authorities have lifted all remaining COVID-19-related entry requirements as of Feb. 22. Previously, travelers from China had been required to present a negative COVID-19 test before departure to Germany.

Domestic Measures
While most federal-level restrictions have been rescinded, limited measures remain in place in some circumstances. Wearing a facemask is required in healthcare facilities; the requirement to wear a mask on long-distance public transport was lifted as of Feb. 2. German states and private companies may require adherence to stricter measures than those enforced at the federal level. For a list of restrictions imposed at the state level, click here. These measures are scheduled to be reviewed or extended by April 7, 2023.

Authorities could ease, tighten, or otherwise amend restrictions with little-to-no notice based on disease activity over the coming weeks.

Advice
