Dignitaries will arrive at either Haikou Meilan (HAK) or Sanya Phoenix (SYX) international airports.
Authorities will likely increase security throughout the region ahead of the meeting. Police may erect checkpoints in some areas; localized transport disruptions are likely near the event venue at Boao Forum hotel and nearby tourist destinations. Minor flight delays are possible at HAK or SYX as officials arrive for and depart the event. Security forces prohibit heavy cargo trucks or vehicles carrying flammable or explosive materials on sections of the G98, G9812, and G222 highways near Boao during the event.
