Authorities are responding to a train derailment near the Clark County Fairgrounds March 4. Around 20 to 30 cars came off the track at Ohio 41 near the Prime Ohio Business Park. Officials confirmed the train was not carrying hazardous material, but residents within 305 meters (1,000 feet) are being advised to shelter in place as a precaution. Around 1,500 residents are also without power.

An emergency response is ongoing, and no injuries were immediately reported. Disruptions to rail services are likely over the coming hours. Authorities are advising drivers to find alternative routes to avoid Ohio 41.

The incident site is about 42 km (26 miles) northwest of Dayton.
