An armed assailant driving near Charles Clore Park in Tel Aviv shot and killed one person before attempting to ram pedestrians with his vehicle, wounding at least seven others late April 7. All the victims appear to be tourists. The perpetrator of the attack has been neutralized. The incident comes amid heightened tensions between the Israeli government and Palestinian militants and a few hours after a shooting attack near Hamra in the West Bank killed two Israelis and wounded another person April 7.
