Flight disruptions will likely continue at Memphis International Airport (MEM) in Tennessee into the mid-evening of May 16 after a power outage left the facility's entire terminal and concourse without electricity. The cause of the blackout remains unclear. Technicians managed to restore power by 18:00 but airport officials have as yet released no estimate as to when the facility's operation will fully return to normal. MEM is reporting several delays of up to one hour, primarily on departing flights.

Residual flight disruptions will probably continue for several hours as carriers reposition aircraft and work through their passenger backlogs.
