Warning

Event

Activists plan to march in El Alto on June 28 to demand a recall referendum against Mayor Eva Copa. Participants will gather in two locations starting at 09:00 - in front of the Heroes de Octubre recreation center on Avenida Juan Pablo II, and at Cruce Viacha on Avenida 6 de Marzo - before marching to the El Alto City Hall, also known as the Jach'a Uta, located Avenida Costanera.

Several thousand people could participate in the demonstration, likely causing significant transport disruptions throughout the city, including along the main roads leading to El Alto International Airport (LPB). Clashes between demonstrators and police cannot be ruled out.
