China: Several casualties following stabbing attack in Hengshan Town, Lianjiang County, Guangdong Province, July 10

Event

An assailant armed with a knife stabbed several individuals at a kindergarten in Hengshan Town, Lianjiang County, Guangdong Province, at around 07:40 July 10. Six people were killed, and at least one individual was wounded. Police have detained the assailant; the suspect's motive is unclear. There is no reported ongoing threat or significant disruption in the area.

Lianjiang is approximately 22 km (13 miles) northwest of Zhanjiang.
