Authorities will increase security across Indore, Madhya Pradesh State, July 19-21, to facilitate the Group of 20 (G20) summit. Approximately 100-150 delegates from 20 countries will attend various ministerial-level meetings. Most official events will occur at the Brilliant Convention Center, although some related meetings could take place at other venues and prominent government buildings. Foreign delegates will primarily stay at the Marriott, Radisson Blu, Sheraton, and Park hotels.

At least 600 police officers will deploy at various locations in the city as a precaution. Security will be particularly tight near hotels hosting foreign delegates, as well as official event venues. Restrictions will include a ban on the use of drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles within 3 km (2 miles) of the sites hosting the foreign delegates; vehicular and pedestrian checks are also likely. Activist groups could stage demonstrations during the G20 summit as a means of drawing international attention to their causes. Isolated clashes between police and activists cannot be ruled out. Associated localized transport and business disruptions are likely. Flight disruptions are possible at Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport (IDR) as delegates arrive in and depart from Indore.
